Stacey Knecht (New York, 1957) lives in the Netherlands with three extremely tall men, two Airedale terriers, a few thousand books and a patient cello. She is editor-in-chief of The Ledge (www.the-ledge.com) and literary critic for the NRC Handelsblad. Stacey is currently completing her translation of The Last Window Giraffe, and is also working on the translation of Bohumil Hrabal's Harlekýnovy Miliony (Harlequin's Millions).
