Graham Thomson was born in Glasgow in 1955. He studied philosphy and literature at the University of Edinburgh and worked as a researcher and social worker in Scotland before moving to Barcelona in 1986, since when he has been translating poetry and prose fiction and essays on art, architecture, culture, design and philosophy. He translates from Catalan, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese and has been director of translations into English with the online literary magazine The Barcelona Review since its launch in 1997.
