Gabriel Rosenstock is a poet and haikuist, author/translator of over 100 books including many titles for children. He worked for almost 30 years with the publisher An Gúm, mainly on books for young people, before taking early retirement in 2007. He now writes fulltime in Irish and English.

 

 

Iva Procházková was born in Olomouc, Czechoslovakia in 1953, and spent most of her childhood in Prague. She was unable to go to university for political reasons, and in 1983, she emigrated to Austria with her family. She returned to the Czech Republic in 1995 and has since worked with many Czech publishers and with Czech television. Menna Elfyn is a poet and a playwright with a passion for the Welsh language. She describes herself as a Christian anarchist and in 2002 she was Bardd Plant Cymru (Welsh Children's Poet). www.mennaelfyn.co.uk

 

 

 

 

 

Miquel Desclot was born in Barcelona in 1952. He is a poet, writer, translator, and also an opera librettist. In 1992, after seventeen years as a university lecturer spent in both Catalonia and in England, he left teaching to devote himself full-time to literature. He has written more than 40 books for children and young people, and published several collections of poetry.

 

 

 

 

Tapani Bagge is a Finnish author of books for children and young people, crime novels, short stories, graphic novels, TV scripts and radio plays. He has written around 40 books, translated a few more and received a couple of awards. His work is characterised by humour and suspense.
