Born in Malta in 1982, Pierre J. Mejlak is the author of Rih Isfel, a novel for young adults where the quaint Maltese village is examined in all its idiosyncracies. Mejlak is the winner of two Malta Journalism Awards and a National Book Award for Enciklopedija ghat-Tfal, the first children's encyclopedia in Maltese. He studied at the University of Malta and lives in Belgium.
