Fatima Naoot is a poet and translator. Born in Cairo in 1964, she graduated in architecture from Ain Shams University. She has published four collections of poetry, and has translated works by Derek Walcott, Graham Mort, Alice Walker, Jo Shapcott, Charles Simic and Virginia Woolf. She writes on cultural affairs for several Arab daily newspapers.
