Idil Aydogan

Idil Aydogan was born in London in 1982. She moved to Turkey in 1996 and studied English Language and Literature at Ege University, Izmir Turkey where she currently works as an instructor. She completed her MA at King’s College London, in Comparative Literature. Her first published translation (co-translation with Amy Spangler) is a short story by Hatice Meryem, ‘Aborted City’ which appeared in Reberth: Stories from Cities on the Edge (Comma Press, 2008). She participated in the Cunda International Workshop for Translator’s of Turkish Literature (CWTTL) in 2008 and 2009. She is co-editor (with Amy Spangler) of the forthcoming Turkish prose issue of Transcript.
