Fflur Dafydd

Fflur Dafydd (b. 1978) is the author of four novels. She was named the Oxfam Hay Emerging Writer of the Year 2009 for her novel Twenty Thousand Saints - and has been awarded Wales’ top prizes for fiction: the Literature Medal for Atyniad in 2006 (Attraction, Y Lolfa) and the Daniel Owen Memorial Prize for Fiction for Y Llyfrgell in 2009 (The Library, Y Lolfa).

She lectures in Creative Writing at Swansea University and has also released three albums as a singer-songwriter.

She was recently chosen by the British Council as the Wales/UK participant in Iowa University’s International Writing Program 2009, and has also been a writer in residence in Helsinki and on Bardsey Island.
