Helim Yusiv

Helim Yusiv, born in 1967, is from the city of Amouda, Western Kurdistan (North Syria). He has a degree in Law from the University of Aleppo, and has been living in Germany since 2000.

He has published numerous articles both in Kurdish and Arabic newspapers and his works have been translated into Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish and German. His books include The Pregnant Man (1991), The Upper Class Women (1995), The Dead Never Sleep (1996), Sobarto (1999), The Single Men (2003), The Toothless Fear (2006) and When Fish Get Thirsty (2008).
