Albert Marshall

Albert Marshall was born in 1947. His instinctive urge to experience cultural hybridity motivated him to flee his native Malta several times to live in places like London, Australia and Luxembourg. He spent most of his professional working life writing and doing cutting-edge theatre and television.

His published poetry reflects a life-time compulsion to cling on to the obscene innocence of childhood. His published works include Ripe Pomegranates (1972), Diaspora (1997) and Jumping Puddles (2011). His unpublished work is a sardonic whinge focusing on creeping old age and senile sexual fantasies.

He now lives in Malta until a next bout of entrapment will drive him out into the wilderness in search of a foreign grave.
