Patrick Gifreu
Patrick GifreuPatrick Gifreu was born in Perpignan, France, 1952. He writes poetry, prose fiction and essays, and works as a translator. His collections of poetry include Telediari (1980), ICS (1983) and Via dels ossos (2002), as well as the forthcoming Barcelona sense data / Barcelone Sans Date (Le Rocher, Paris, 2004). Works of fiction by Patrick Gifreu include Tor Vabel (Perpignan, 1979) Autoplàstia del cargol tocat pel bolet (Perpignan, 1988). He has also published essays on a range of subjects, from the architecture of Antoni Gaudí to cuisine, and has translated mediaeval Catalan classics and modern writers such as Miquel Bauçà into French.
